Starter Pullets Pre-Order 2026-2027 Season
Thank you for your interest in our birds. Before you begin, please know and understand the following:
1. I cannot hold birds. Once your order is ready for pick up, you must be ready for your birds. If you are not ready for your birds, they will be readvertised, and your deposit becomes a store credit, at best (refunds are at my discretion). 2. As of March of 2026, we no longer administer Marek's vaccine, but we still actively do the fowl pox which is highly effective. In place of the Marek's vaccine, I shifted our focus to gut health and stronger immune systems. I make homemade probiotics daily, specifically L. Reuteri and Kefir which is served to our birds 2-3 times per week from the ages of 1 week, after we have built their microbiome. This practice allows for continuous gut health that is essentially shield by the good bacteria which is their wall of defense against deadly pathogens present in the environment. The reults have been great so far, per customer feedback and our own birds we have raised for ourselves.
2. You won't lose birds from me unless they are kept under perilous conditions, fed low quality feed, or become prey to animal threats in your environment. The birds you pick up will be in very good health and will have a strong immune system. They will be free of clinical and physical flaws. They will be very alert, plump, and robust; however, becuase we don't have control over the environment and practices outside of our farm, we are not responsible for any sickness or death that may occur outside of our premises. Birds that develop a sickness or die after leaving our premises will not be refunded. It is out of our control what the birds will be exposed to once they leave our property. It is recommended to perform a proper necropsy by a state vet/lab to determine the cause of illness or death of your birds. Vitoria Farms should NOT be held responsible for any deaths of birds after leaving our care. You will be given the opportunity to inspect the birds from head to toe before driving off with them.
Our starter pullets are offered as coop ready, as early as 8 weeks, but you are welcome to take them home as early as 6 weeks, depending on the breed. Some breeds can be offered in the chick stage as early as 0-3 weeks, such as Cream Legbars, and Wheaten Marans, Price changes weekly. Pullets over 6 weeks are vaccinated against Fowl Pox, prior to field exposure. We fill pullet orders in order of payment received, and a whole lot of other factors, including availability of eggs to incubate and/or chicks throughout the year. Remember these are live animals, and many factors affect how quickly we work through orders. Factors such as hatch rates, egg production, weather, and the fact that we're working with heritage poultry all make a difference in our production. We will text you, call you, or email you when your pullets are ready to go home. If you can't afford to wait, please don't place an order.
