Delaware

I cannot begin to describe how much I love this breed. Delawares were once the main broilers before the Cornish Cross was developed; nonetheless, they continued to be an excellent dual-purpose chicken. One of the many things I personally love about this breed is their temperament. The roosters are so affectionate. Both hens and roosters love to explore and follow their humans around. Hens are wonderful layers of large to jumbo eggs. Another great attribute of this breed is that they are a healthy breed. Females grow up to 6 pounds and males weight up to 8-9 pounds. Our foundational flock include lines from Oregon Delaware and Daniel Estrada.
